Haha though, that's maybe a bit sexist sounding, considering preferences vary, classifying things by gender is good for marketing but at heart I think it is unhealthy, people are just people. Even if there are some generalisations to be made.
Although I did instantly think of those girl who stream on twitch and show uh stuff cos the word gamer girls is loaded like that.
Girl gamers can play the same games as guys, though yes many games are marketed more to guys.
I know some games like virtual pet and sims game are more targeted towards women. And some are more towards a general audience, including diverse characters or activities in a game.
Also many women purely play mobile games but they are not considered real gamers cos of their choices. If you include this demographic many more ppl are gamers.
