I can't get the game to update. It goes through the drill untill it gets to "check local files" then it stalls and says it is having disk access problems. I have tried a hard reboot. Any suggestions? I also don't see any way to ask for support directly.

Even if you ask support, you would need to provide something in the way of information, e.g. operating system, galaxy or not, even the name of the game in question might help might it not?
And you can ask support, its hidden on the website under that obfuscated support area entitled Support.

We don't know everything and we humans unfortunately do not have telepathy. How about I called 911 and just bumped in with "weird car crash by some tree, help", and just hang up....

Ask yourself this; what do I need to provide of information in order to receive the best possible help? What info is related to my problem? In these cases, more is better than less. xD
