It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

So, both Hob and Tooth & Tail have had updates.

When I select either game in Galaxy, it says "Updating", "Checking local files", switches to "Downloading" and then fails. This happens again and again, and restarting Galaxy doesn't work.

I couldn't find anything about this on the forums. Has anyone else had this problem? I haven't noticed this before, so it seems to be new, and might be related to a GOG server issue?

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

There's a few threads previously on the topic but they're buried. Exit out and try running Galaxy as admin and see if that works. I don;t recall anyone ever getting back and saying that it works or not but that's the suggestion we've been making.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that didn't work.
Looks like we're falling back to a complete delete and reinstall now:

I've deleted and re-installed Galaxy more often than I care to remember.

I've uninstalled the games in question and am re-installing them now. That should get them up-to-date, but it's not exactly ideal. Unfortunately, GOG support leads me to 404 errors, so I have no idea where to report this either.

Still a long way to go with the client, clearly.

Thanks for your help, though! Much appreciated.
Afraid there's nothing about reporting website issues:

The contact page's subject drop down has a couple of choices for website issues:

Good luck. I never got anything but a we'll look into it.

I wonder if you have DNS issues or if gog is having server issues?
A few hours ago, so around the time of the previous posts, I got a lot of Atlas bears navigating the GOG site.
Well, another Hob update has come out and Galaxy failed again.

Not having any problems whatsoever with other applications -- it's a bug in GOG Galaxy somehow. Of course, this meant I had to uninstall Hob and then reinstall it again. Quite annoying. Would be nice to know that the GOG folks are at least looking into this?

Are you sure you have enough free space ?

I have noticed that Galaxy tend to be a little "over-zealous" with its free space estimation, it sometime feels like it consider that it needs the full size of the game to be able to download and install a patch. I had issues with updates failing repeatedly until I freed a couple of extra GB from my drive.

So maybe check your available space on both the drive where the download folder is located and the one where the game is installed. (in case they are in two different disks)

More than 100 GB free -- should be more than enough, I think.
