BeatriceElysia: They work poorly on my laptop and I plan to buy new comp and move from win7 next year to win10.

dtgreene: The games I mentioned, particularly the ones that use DOSBox, shouldn't have any problems working on your old laptop; DOSBox is currently maintained software, and it emulates the environment the games need to run.
Well, nwn1 and IWD2 - I had some problems using those games on my laptop and even though I don't have problem with outdated graphics, I would rather somethign newer e.g. like nwn2...

BeatriceElysia: loved:
Divinity:OS2
Pillars of Eternity
Baldur's Gate 2
Crusader Kings 2
Medieval total war II

I played some Drakensang games which I really liked, but can only play them on old pc, not on laptop, also Ember, but I never finished it, it's average game...

Supported/pre-ordered Pathfinder:Kingmaker and Pillars of Eternity 2
Here are a few that you may find intriguing:

Dragon Age:Origins
Hellblade:Senua's Sacrifice (viking setting, so not strictly fantasy, but it's based on viking mythology and it's a helluva good game).
Risen/Gothic series - you'll probably either love or hate these. I loved them.
Age of Decadence

Elex - not a fantasy setting, but a bit of a mix of magic and technology. I'm playing this one right now and having a blast with it. Starts out a bit rough, but very quickly drew me in.

*edit* Played DA:O, and Risen/Gothic series on Win7. Played the others on Win10. No issues with either OS.

Already having DAO, but I will check hellblade, I like mental illness aspect and like medievalish/mythological aspect.
I never got into DAO, controls are bit weird.
