Those would be good ideas, but she isn't attracted to any of theses franchises. I'd love to add them to her queue of games to play in the future
Donut County: It is so wacky it's definitely gonna be a hit, despite being far from a platformer.
Gris: I'm not sure. Gameplay-wise looks fairly adequate, I'd just need to check the story. I will buy it for me sooner or later, then I can check and if approved show it to my niece.
Ori atBF: Commented already
Will have to check them out. They might be good entries, but since I know nothing about them I'd go for something more proven at first.
- Tsioque : looks like a great idea! Well it is more of a adventure than action game but that's another genre I wanted to incentive as well. As I said above I have already had some success with Lilly looking through.
- Unmechanical; All Amanita games; The Tiny Bang Story: hmmm... I don't know. They might make good entries in her gaming life in the future, but I would want something different right now. Tsioque at least has the "cute princess" setting in its favor.
- ABZU : Not sure. It's a bit too calm; as the video in the OP shows the game she loves requires her to move fast at times. I reckon she likes games where fast reflexes are important or useful.
- Flower : Wouldn't entertain her for too long. There's simply no challenge.
- Race the Sun; Audiosurf: I haven't seen her interested in racers, so probably not. I might try in the future tho but even I don't really think I'd like this game.
- Puddle; Gorogoa : puzzles? Unlikely. She might play them sometime but I just don't see her giving up that crap for these games.
- Bit.Trip games : I don't know. Racers, but they might be worth a shot because they' also need timing and precision. Honestly I don't like them, but she might.(?)
- Sokobond : a chemistry game for a 9 year old kid? I don't think I know a single person who would have enjoyed it at that age. Maybe brazilian schools are far too slow and should be teaching more advanced stuff to our kids but, whatever. There's zero chance she will play it for several years.
Nah, none would suit her tastes. She'd find SH weird and Kerbal too complex.
aSH probably wouldn't work because of no challenge. MC probably would work too well, in a "gone horribly right" way. I don't want to later be accused of getting her addicted :)
Man, I should have thought of it soon. I HAVE this game already. (Tho I still have to play it and the whole series.)
A major entry in this list.
It is cute, it is something even I want, it is something she is certainly going to enjoy... but not more than other entries I'm afraid. I'll put it in the queue nonetheless.
Lovely, appears to have gameplay she'd like, but I think she would need a translator around. Maybe when she gets better in english.
TheMonkofDestiny: Downwell... maybe?
Also, as someone with a young nephew who got bit by the Fortnite vampire, I kinda relate to the scenario. Except that if I tried to pseudo-parent him off that stuff, my younger sister would likely chew me out endlessly for any such attempts. I know in theory Downwell checks most boxes in my requirements list, but I'd think it would fare poorly in the task of keeping her entertained because its graphics are.. honestly, very ugly.
The pseudo-parenting bit: Yeah if the parents are indulging or incentiving him there's not much you can do. For my luck neither my brother-in-law nor my girlfriend really like his daughter spending so much time on Roblox. He barely tolerates it, and mostly because with the pandemic she can't go out much.
A great indication among these puzzle adventures. I played it recently, almost installed it on her computer but in the end I decided to go with something that relies a bit less on supernatural and spirits for personal choices.
Seum: Speedrunners from Hell : Gameplay-wise it was the closest entry ever. But the setting, no way. I haven't seen much in the way of cute or pink in the screenshots and trailer. :)
Spyro, Kao the Kangaroo Round 2 and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy : Wow those look very heavy contenders. Is Crash Bandicoot kid-friendly?
topolla: Max the curse of brotherhood
PictoQuest
The Last Tinker: City of Colors
The Flame in the Flood Pictoquest doesn't look like she would enjoy, as she isnt too fond of puzzles. On the other hand MtCoB looks very good and adequate. The last two are in my library, I could put up The Last Tinker for her to play while I buy the games atop the list or something.

Well after this many entries a lot of them were helpful. I gotta admit I had to turn down many excellent games only because they wouldn't suit my niece's tastes.
After though consideration I decided to give answer status to DrazenCro's post, since it contained 2 games that were highly likely to entertain my niece.
Thanks everyone for your ideas.
