I am in need of resetting my pcs system settings, thing is I have gotten really far in escape from butcher bay (comes with assault on dark athena), but the last levels are getting really hard for me. Anyone know how to take backups of my games? Does having galaxy help. Starting to wonder if this option is at all possible with this game.

I don't have it installed, so can't tell you exactly, but they will be stored on your local machine - and this is different for each game - in one of several locations:
The game folder
Documents
Goto windows explorer and in the location box near the top type %appdata%
, this will take you to a place where a fair few games store data.
It could also be in Appdata/local.

You will need to look around for it. Once you have located it, it is merely a matter of copying the directory or file associated with the save - something which again varies depending on game. For instance, I have Van Helsing installed, I find the saves in Documents/NeocoreGames/Van Helsing Final Cut/Savegame.

No Galaxy will not help.

This may help you track down the save location.
PCGamingWiki (almost) always has the answer: Dark Athena / Butcher Bay
