Fixed or whatever.

I check the box where it says "create desktop shortcut" or whatever, yet when the game is finished downloading there are no shortcuts to be seen on the desktop.

It's possible they were sent somewhere in Galaxy and you have to transfer to desktop.

There are a few games that don't give desktop icons from Galaxy. I installed Dreamfall Chapters 4 times to makes sure that was the case for it.

That's annoying. Why is there even an option then?

Because most games install the shortcuts just fine for me. Maybe there is a problem on your PC end, or a security issue. If it truly does happen for every game, I'd post it to the Mantis logs.

To be fair I've only tried one game with the Galaxy, and that is We Happy Few which still is in development. Might be why.

Yup. I just tried another game and I got a shortcut for it. I guess WHF doesn't create a shortcut yet since it is development.

does the problem persist if you run galaxy as an administrator? Have not had that kind of bug myself sadly so can't offer that much troubleshooting - but ya running as admin my fix it if your OS is setup that why that creating shortcuts requires elevated rights
