Hey all, sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything by searching myself.

So, since being invited into the GOG Galaxy Beta I have found everything with the client to be working perfectly, however, one feature has been bugging me and that is the 'Scan and Import Folders' one.
When prompted to locate and import my Witcher/Witcher 2 folders, the client tries to 'sync' them with the latest files from the GOG server. Problem is, I've been using a lot of mods for both games (FCR, scabbard, among others) and I haven't been able to find an answer as to whether or not that would break those files/the game itself/my saves.

Has anyone come across the same problem and gone through with the patching/synch? Any info as to whether or not it is safe to import them into the client?

I know Galaxy is optional and I've been loving it, but it would be nice to know I could keep the Witcher trilogy in the client without compatibility issues.

I can't speak for Witcher 2, but I tried to import Banished (I do have it modded) and it keeps telling me that no files were found.

Are you trying to import directly from the game page in your library? Some games are missed by the global detection method and you have to manually import them via the More > Manage > Import Folder function on the game page.

I have all my GOG games in one folder that are installed on my laptop, the scan found all of them except for Banished. Banished is the only game I have modded also.

Using the manual import method, you need to specify the full install directory for the game, not just the main GOG installation directory like with the global method. For example, the global search will use C:/GOG Games/, but the manual method instead uses C:/GOG Games/Banished/ (or whatever Banished's install directory is) to force detection. Given that you have already modded it and detection will over write your mods, you probably don't want to bother.
well, what a shame. thanks anyway!

Nice!
Thanks man !
Don't see how it's solved when using library game already installed to use import folder, all it wants to do is re-install the game!
