Humble Bundle has an offer today of DiRT 3 Complete Edition FREE for a limited time.

I often hesitate to mention free offers, as I don't want to deprive GOG of sales, but this game isn't on GOG anyway. It's just on Steam.

Note: if you already have the game, you can't have Humble make a gift link for it, they won't allow you too. Therefore this offer was no use to me, but maybe I can make other people happy by posting this news. Spare the climate, use cars only in a virtual manner. Happy racing.

Wow, never usually see a game this good go free. It's not temporal is it? Either way, good deal.

Though the electricity used for your preferred gaming device will probably take a small toll on the environment, but best not worry too much about that.

Core i3 2120 coupled with a Radeon RX 460 both chosen for their low-energy consumption compared to a higher end gaming rig.

Heheh, I see, though I wasn't being serious.

BTW, how much would your gaming PC cost to build, and how well could a game like The witcher 3 run on it?

I bought my rig in 2012 for €659,- with these specs:

core i3 2120 3,3 GHz CPU
4GB DDR3 1333MHz memory
Radeon HD 6670 GPU
2 TB HDD
420W PSU

though it has since been upgraded with a 1 TB SSD system drive, 4 TB SSHD data drive, 8 GB of DDR 1333MHz memory and last but not least the recent Radeon RX 460 2GB.

Most relevant for gaming is the upgrade with the faster Radeon of course, for €139,-

All bought at Dutch shop or webshops, prices in other countries may vary of course (most notably, hardware in the US is always much cheaper than what we in the Netherlands pay. The RX 460 had a recommended retail price of $99,-. Go figure. I've heard taxes are far lower in the US. The €139,- of my card includes 21% VAT).

Hmm, seems like a fairly good price. I honestly don't know what my VAT for hardware would be here, but I don't think I'll like the answer.
