When I’m in the forum and use the "search" button to search for some topic, e.g. last time searching for
"browsing games not owned"

I get a list of hits for those words with links that I can click to go to that thread.

However when I click one of those links I always get an error page with a huge blue globe.

The problem is that the link that is tried to be opened looks like this:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/owned_games_not_marked_owned/?search=browsing%20games%20not%20owned

and when I simply delete the last part of that
"/?search=browsing%20games%20not%20owned"

then the link actually correctly leads me to the thread where my searched words were found.

The issue is something to do with Gog highlighting and filtering the threads to only display posts with the term you searched for.
This used to be an annoying aspect of the search (as you rarely want to get that specific in the search), that now seem to be mostly non-working... probably as numerous times before, someone at Gog tried to fix it...

When ever I want to find something, I just use my normal search-engine (yahoo/google/whatever) with the following search:

site:gog.com browsing games not owned

The site:(here gog) will restrict the search to gog only.

Maybe that will work better for you?

And on busy days you can get easily the bear anyway. ;)

You can also get more specific, say you want to only search the (English) general discussion forum:
site:gog.com/forum/general/ browsing games not owned

Or search any forum:
site:gog.com/forum/ browsing games not owned
