I guess what happened is the active community that used to fill these games have moved on from GOG's forums, or have a real life (I certainly do), or just lost interest in Mafia. The hiatuses we kept having post-2022 or 2023 certainly didn't help matters either.

yeah, it was fun but they are not as much fun any longer. Nothing bad about the flavor--flavors are great--but I have too much to do IRL, and i keep finding that i'm not as good at these games as i was a few years ago.

Oh, this was several years ago. If it was very recent, I would be 100% unavailable for months. He was reabsorbing his teeth, needing pain killers to eat, then more pain killers to eat after his teeth were all pulled. Also because he is diabetic, there were multiple follow up appointments. My time literally revolved around making my cat happy and since he likes watching me play games, not post on forums, I wouldn't be available to play.

I remember when you first joined and did one of the most in-depth analysis posts I've ever seen in a forum post game. If I'm not misremembering (I totally am), it got one of the scum caught and had you yeeted. But you also let us know it was way above your limit.

Still, I don't mind if you join us again when you're less busy, I understand you punched above your weight often and won't mind if you have to scale down.

Reminds me of my dog. It's always a pain to get him to take his preventative pills, and it doesn't help that I think they taste horrible for him. Was giving him the painkillers also hard?

I think it sadly indicates that GOG has way less traffic too. Either Witcher 3 was peak times, or DRM has less people bothered about it or people got annoyed about none DRM games on here. Or people realised there's tons of DRM free games on Steam that aren't even here.

If GOG goes bankrupt I'm going to lose loads of games as I don't back them up typically.
The best way to give pills to a dog (and I imagine other pets) is to wrap the pill in food, we used ham, you could use a halaal type of meat ofcourse. Probably putting the pill in a pancake batter, cooking it a little would make it the most edible.

I used to manufacture joint formulas for dogs, they were easy to use because they were powders that could be mixed into water and then the dog food

I initially, yes. My cat is very smart, and I do mean that in comparison to other cats. By the second day, he seemed to have figured out that the icky pills were decreasing the pain so he wasn't fighting me on them. Granted he wasn't just taking them either, but he let me pop it in his mouth then would swallow it pretty quickly.

I used to think I was good at social deduction and then realised I really couldn't figure anyone out for the most part. The first few times playing Mafia I was terrible, actually maybe every time, I don't think I've won in that role. Although on SecretHitler.IO I am pretty good at manipulating the good people to hate other good people.

Although Mafia is harder for social deduction than SH. The only recent tells I failed on, was 1 game where Trent talked to me as if he was sure I was Town, and I thought 'why are you so sure I'm town'. Another game Trent as town convinced me another player was not solving the game and I was already to lynch her, but then she started talking about mental health and I felt bad and she got away as a Mafia player.
