Just wondering, what's the best way to exit a game on your laptop once its running?

I have Cannon Fodder, and the only way I can exit is by pressing the windows button. Is this OK? Or is there another way?

Use the in-game menu to quit.

If you included a link in your thread, that might be the issue. Otherwise, check to make sure you didn't screw up any tags and then try again.

Normally, exiting through the in-game options menu is the safest choice. If the game has frozen or you need to quit and just can't do it normally at the moment you can always use the Alt+F4 shortcut to close it (at least on Windows/Linux, not sure if it does work on Mac as well...)

However, many older computer games didn't have an in-game menu that allowed you to exit. In that cases, there was a shortcut for exiting, but those key shortcuts are strange and hard to guess to modern users. Some of the most common exit shortcuts were F10, Ctrl+Q or Ctrl+Z.
Not sure which one does Cannon Fodder use, sorry. Try with these ones...

I'm guessing that I'm missing something really obvious but how do I upload an image for my avatar on this forum?

When I go into the profile section I notice there is a link for uploading an image but is that for the avatar or is that something else?
