Edit: I don't know what was different a moment ago but the links do not work after all.

The forum has been in a relatively poor state for quite some time - think of the rep system, the search function, the "my posts" section not displaying your newer posts, sometimes being reset etc.- and many users are expecting there to be no change in the future.
Well, maybe there's hope because the same was true for the Community Wishlist: It had major problems that seemed to be left unaddressed - but not anymore!
GOG has combined seperate wishes into one, which despite many advantages may be a controversial change on its own. However, they didn't stop there.
Finally, posting links actually works and there's also a new feature: When creating a wishlist entry, you are automatically shown existing entries with a similar name - you can't create your entry before ticking the box that you've reviewed the list.

The new feature is brilliant, imo, and since a major bug has been fixed as well, the new changes are a huge improvement.

Have you been bothered by some (missing) features of the Community Wishlist? Have they been fixed or improved? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I can still never find wishlist entries I have created or commented on. I only use the games one though. Also I don't like the combining series into one. Take the Diablo series, the first two have huge number of votes, and have a miniscule (I mean so small teams of mathematicians had to use two greek letters!) chance of them coming here. Diablo 3 however has less chance, and less votes. Why Combine all three, its just making it less likely to get 1-2 because they are lumped with 3. I can understand merging by game, but not series.

That always annoyed me a bit as well.

The Diablo series is extremely well-known and I'm sure GOG know perfectly well about the third title's DRM. Since we do not know their reasoning, we shouldn't assume that we know better - we probably don't because we have never negotiated with the rights holders, whilst GOG have been able to get more than a thousand games on here.
Furthermore, I have to wonder what's the problem. The Wishlist isn't a penis length comparison and if they release only one of those games, so what? I doubt that a publisher who would be willing to release one game doesn't do so just because the wishlist entry encompassed an additional game.

The problem is the mis-representation of peoples wishes. I have voted to get 1-2 here, not 3 which I don't want here. Combining them makes it look like there is a desire for the third. Its a bit like if you vote for one minister, and then you get another from the same party who you didn't vote for. Particularly for those people who.specifically created entries for 1-2.

GOG are not going to release it with its DRM and if you don't want it here just because you don't like the game then I have every reason to to create the following wishlist entry: "Don't bring the Diablo games here".

I don't really agree with your reasoning.

No, your missing the point, true I don't want d3 here, hence why I did not vote for it, that is my right. Now it looks like I did vote for it because my vote has been combined. Its quite simple, they should only combine like for like, d1 votes with d1 votes, not similar.
And creating wish list entries for not want g something makes no sense, its not here so its fulfilled no need for a wish list. A wish list is for things you wish to see here. I just don't want my vote mis-represented as a vote for games I have not and would not want here, be it Diablo or any. Call of duty would be another one, cod 1/2 are great, 3 is console only, and from 4 onwards they become super pro us racist on rails shooters. So I vote for 1/2 but definitely do not vote for the others. Same with many games.
The problem I see with merging series is that what if Game 1 gets a release but not Game 2 and 3? Will the wishlist entry count as completed or non-completed then? Or what if both Game 1 and Game 2 gets a release but not 3? etc.

It will obviously not be counted as completed if the entry isn't specifically about the classic series, at least it definitely shouldn't be.

They can mark it as "in progress".

But I have to say that I don't like the merging of wishlist entries. Especially not when they merge wishes for an old game with the ones for a remastered/remake version (like they did with Grim Fandango).

That's why we haven't done that since :) The only times wishes are merged are when you have 10-15 wishes for the exact same game HD/remastered versions notwithstanding.
