Hello all

Today i opened an account and bought my first game. I tried to install it and got an error sayin `unable to connect to GOG check your connection`. I then discovered gog galaxy and couldnt download it becuse of the same error. Obviously my connection is fine. Can anyone help?

I can't help with the connection error (other users might know what is the cause) but I want to add that you can download your game without Galaxy at all.
If you click the blue misleading button, it still tries to download Galaxy to install your game, click on "offline backup installers" instead. Check attached image.
There are advantages and disadvantages in either way.

It says 0 games on your profile, you bought the game here on gog right? Maybe the number just didn't show up yet.
Can it be that you are using another account?
Or did you only create 1 account.
