Speaking of: the arena combat did get annoying/frustrating in places...reminded me a bit of Doom Eternal. I still liked the game, but I liked the original's "free range combat" a bit more.

Yep. Its a shame too as the engine that SW2 uses is pretty good. Shame they took the best bits of SW1 like a great story, handcrafted levels, nice easy upgrades, and then removed all that in favour of bland empty randomised levels with no point whatsoever. I expect 3 to be more of that.

What you just said reminds me of the quality transition from DMC1--->DMC2 and from Dino Crisis 1---->Dino Crisis 2 in some ways.

It has definitely been a weaker year for GOG releases than last year. Although, I'd much rather see a slow trickle than more releases like HItman.

The whole reputation system (and downvoting zergs at that extend) is a forum feature lately... until the beloved store decide to change (eg only upvoting allowance, thus +rep ) or get rid of this system entirely.

It is so funny, that nearly made my day.

NuShadow Warrior has ALWAYS been cucked! In the original SW you'd fire your rocket launcher and the protagonist would go "Just rike Hiroshima!" There'd be references to Asians eating cats as early as Level 1. I dare you to find anything like that in the reboot. Anyone who has played the original game can give you probably at least a dozen Lo Wang quotes off the top of his head, I doubt anyone can do the same with the reboot. Old, pervy Lo Wang was a racist caricature, but at least he had gusto and personality. NuWang tries to replace that casual 90s edge with "badass" attitude, but ends up being just kind of bland and boring.

Thing is, the SW reboot was also a pretty damn good game in its own right, which kind of made up for the neutered humor and main character.

The "funny" thing is, YT recently removed(hid) the dislike counters for a large number of people**....and their site likely has a much bigger & more complicated code base.

That said, imo they should just remove it entirely or hide it if removal isn't a possibility....that, or maybe make it a post counter instead.
