Can't get my character to switch to diffrent we opens other then smg of simple shot gun wanted to use more sniper based his per 10 figured he would have problems

I wonder if it's related to the perks or disadvantages you selected?

Do you meet all the requirements for the weapon like strength etc.?

Is it the vanilla GOG version of the game, or have you installed a (the) mod for it?

Ya it's the vanilla what mod should I get didn't know if gog would let you use mods

I'm using the Redux 1.3 mod, also at least Awaken mod is supposed to work. I was first going to play the GOG version vanilla but since I read the vanilla version has quite a lot of bugs (e.g. perks that just don't work; the mod doesn't necessarily fix them all, but at least marks clearly which are such non-working perks that you shouldn't pick), I decided to go with the Redux mod even though it apparently also changes the gameplay somewhat.

I have absolutely no idea if the mods fix your particular problem... but at least I am able to use different kinds of weapons with my character I think. Then again I've only played (finished) one mission so far. :)

Where do you get your mods I use no mutants alow wed for most my fall out 1 and 2 mods

I got the Redux mod from the site which I linked in my earlier message.

I generally just google for a mod and get it where I can, as long as there are no online casino or porn popups on my screen. I don't download mods that often, mainly just for very buggy games where the official patches were not enough (like is in this case IMHO).
