nightcraw1er.488: Never used VATS on either F3 or Vegas, just felt like cheating. Just play it as a FPS. That being said, they were pretty average. I expect F4 will be Skyrim with guns, and that was pretty bland, empty space, short naff storyline, but great for modding, those people who provide the game, and this will be over DRM'd, paid mods, etc.
I couldn't play them as FPS when I'd shoot a guy in the face with a shotgun repeatedly and not kill him because my shotgun skill was too low. After that I decided that FPS is FPS, and RPG is RPG. Combining the two is not good.

Yes, admittedly the need for a skill to cause damage is daft in the original, the skill should be for accuracy, i.e. moving cross hair gets more stable as skill increase, but a shotgun point blank range doesn't require any skill.

b/c i love the game and i've been wanting to play it for forever. besides, this is a freaking video game, not some huge life decision, it's perfectly ok to have emotion involved in ordering. b/c not that big of a deal in the scheme of things.

Indeed, Horizon Zero Dawn was the stand out from the PS4 E3 Conference. Its nice to see a unique and interesting new IP among the plethora of AAA sequels that we mostly find these days. I will definitely get a PS4 as well eventually because of the potentially great games coming out next year and not to mention The Last Guardian which I have been waiting for since a long time already. :)

the last guardian, and i say this knowing how much it is anticipated, reminds me of ICO, and that game made me insane. I saw it and was like, Noooope!!!

missed the metacritic review you posted. Yay!!!! I knew it :) i can't wait for tomorrow <3 i'm just sad I bought a hard copy so i have to wait till tomorrow to download. *sings* Gonna kill all the things and loot all the things and never complete the main quest... lol

Youtube lets plays and reviews are already popping up like crazy. For those of you like me who will have to wait several hundred years to play it, there's at least plenty to watch. So this is AAA gaming now for many of us. Penalty boxed observers.

i always take the worst reviews to heart, and even the worst one i've read still makes me happy i pre-ordered. :)

and i'm pretty sure i'm gonna twitch my play of fallout after i make my character (bc i will take ten years doing that)
