I checked the boxes to not install menu item and desktop shortcut but this error good old games "failed installation menu item" keeps happening and I can't install the game. I am using a window manager and have no desktop to put these things on. What do?

Does it happen whether you check the box or not?

unzip? which game, distro?

I dunno what the difference is but I followed some instruction in the .sh file and it works now.

Good that it works, as it should do so. I tried using my pc without a desktop for a while and was able to install and play games just fine so it at least used to be possible some years ago.
