Hello,
So I picked up eye of the beholder from eBay and I'm having trouble getting it working. Now, the disks aren't corrupt, I know that much, but I need help with installation. I put disk 1 & 2 into my floppy and I go through the commands required to get it installing. It finishes the installation and then needs disk 3 & 4. I put that in, press enter, and it installs to the directory that I specified. Every went perfectly. Or so it says. But when I check that directory, there is no data there. I even tried manually creating the directory and then installing it there, but still nothing. Am I doing something wrong? I don't have much knowledge working with DOS, but I have used Dos Box, which I am using, a few times before. Thanks for any help.

You have a PC that still takes floppies?

Jesus, I'm never to complain about my piece of shit system again. :P
I haven't got a clue to be honest, maybe it has something to do with the formatting of the harddrive, DOS needs FAT16.

EDIT:

If you're using Dosbox, you need to assign a folder for C: first with the mount command and you also need to mount the floppydrive.

Never buy a computer without a CD drive, a floppy disk drive, and internal neon green lighting. Makes the ladies weak in the knees. From kicking me so hard.
It might help to mention your specs and OS. I have no idea what you're running, but a quick search provided me with this, although it's for EOB 3:

Also, if you aren't able to get this to run, you can always purchase the digital version here on Gog:

Collection One contains the Eye of the Beholder trilogy

I bought an external floppy drive for my desktop. It connects via usb. I built my computer just this year, and I spent around 900 on it.

I'd hate to buy the digital versions, as I'd love to get this up and running, but it might be the only option.

That's actually really cool. My apologies if I came off as a dick.

No, no. I just love having all the bells and whistles, you know? :) you were fine.
I really want one of those external floppy drives, specifically for old games.

Sounds like it's way to powerful, plus you would need a very old OS.Not absolutely sure if it will run on XP,but you definitely need something lower, maybe Win2000.
Sounds totally cool, unlike me. Hopefully you will get it sorted.

edit: cool or yes, it's freaking bad ass to own eye of the beholder floppys.

Go easy. Someone said 'floppy disc', he thought they said 'floppy dick' and showed up.
