In EOB 3 GOG edition, when I attack I hear the 'swoosh' sound of the weapon attack but then I hear 'tack, tack, tack, tack,' towards then end of the sound. The 'tack' sound is loud, like it's part of the game, but in my other non cracked DOS version I have it doesn't do this, it just plays the 'swoosh' sound nice and clean and that's all. Being as the GOG version is modified, cracked at least, is there a possibility the sound file is different? I've checked my GOG DOSBox config for the game against my uncracked DOS versions DOSBox config and I don't see anything that's really different. It's super annoying this 'tack' sound, anyone know what's causing it?

You might have more luck posting in the EotB subforum. Interesting issue, I wonder whether it's in all GOG versions? Does it happen with all melee weapons?

I'll see if I can find it, I searched to no avail. As for the GOG version, that's what I was wondering, and yes, it appears to happen with all weapons I've tried thus far.

Sound still crackles when the game is loading, but once loaded it seems to be good.
Specifically, the crackling after the "swoosh" when attacking is gone.

I remember the attack sounds being loud and obnoxious. Maybe the crackers improved the game? :)
