Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I just voted on it here:

Just in case the trailer doesn't make it clear, this game is an arcade shooter that has you fly above ground, in canyons, in caves, inside buildings and tunnels, and indeed in an alien ship. You pick up shield energy and ammunition from downed enemies. The soundtrack is pretty nice.

This has more in common with Descent than with any helicopter sim.

I remember this...

This is one of blue bytes games!
the demo was great fun, never got the full version.
This brings back memories. Playing this on my Pentium 1 133Mhz with a joystick. <3 Still wishing GOG will bring this title one day although I still have the original disc and mint bigbox.

And I hope THQ Nordic will bring Comanche one day as well! ;)
I never quite liked this game, but it has the same guy who voiced Flint in Archimedean Dynasty, so there is at least that.
Hell yea, I remember this...
Still have the CD here but I never managed to get it to run on WIn7 - maybe it could work with dgVoodoo. When I last tested it there were only a few 3dfx wrappers available.

It looks like a fun forerunner to G-Police.

You can still get the demo if you search for it.

clarry: The soundtrack is pretty nice.
The soundtrack is by Fabian del Priore (with a bit of help from Chris Hülsbeck) who also did the great soundtracks for X - Beyond the Frontier and the new Giana Sisters games.
The game that convinced me to buy Matrox Mystiq :-P

Ooh yeah, I recognize both names (and their music often plays on scenesat & slay radio). It's no wonder it's so good then!
Bought this game when first released. Was a fun blast and i enjoyed the music as well. Would love to see this here.
that is indeed extreme assault, no question about it.
