If you have been experiencing screen tearing with Exiled Kingdoms enable vertical sync in Nvidia control panel. This solves the problem,

That makes sense.
I would guess in most games - enabling FreeSync, G-Sync, V-Sync, and/or maybe even FastSync would & should solve the screen-tearing problem via the NVidia Panel, NVidia Inspector, or AMD GPU's Control Panel.
Also, I wonder if capping the framerate even in-game, via INI's, via MSI Afterburner, or other ways to cap it - if a game was say set to a specific fps like say 30fps or 60fps - would help a game out to try to prevent screen-tearing too.
