Hey, I need your help with Evil Islands,
The game installs fine and all, I set it up to be in 1080p fullscreen, but the game is laggy AF !!

I'm running an i52500k, GTX 960ti 6GB, 8 GB ram ...
(Yeah, it's an "old" computer, gonna get a new one some day, but for now it's running everything fine in basically all games except Evil Islands !!)

Is there any solution to the lag ?

I've done it, it has indeed fixed the camera which was broken, but did not fix the lag, input lag ...
Has nobody had this issue with 1.60 on a modern system ?
Mouse lag in menus, massive game lag in the options menu ...

PS: I'm running Windows 10 64bit
And when I try compatibility modes, the computer locks up when the game launches.
Have tried disabling anti-virus program?

Have you also tried andreas1202's solution?

Yup, I tried, same problem :/
And about andreas1202's solution, that was what the person above mentioned. It only fixes the camera in-game, not the lag issues, input lag, lag in menu's etc ... :/

I'd really love to replay this fking awesome game, but not if it's this laggy :'(
I would start my investigation with the graphics stack. Is it 3dfx or directx or opengl, see if can find anything. Maybe contact support.

This also helped me with the camera issues, but not the FPS stutter.
Though I did find a solution/workaround.

In the Evil Islands game folder there is a file called "starter.exe"
Run it and click options. Then untick FPS independent cursor.

This solve the issue for me, but I have noticed a very small delay in mouse movements (about 1 or 2 frames, due to the software rendering).

Perhaps you should post this in the game forum for more exposure

I've managed to beat the low FPS (down to ~22 in shops) by using dgVoodoo.

Drop the dgVoodoo (exe and conf) and dlls from MS\x86 folder -
d3d9, d3dlmm and ddraw to the folder containing game.exe. Launch the dgVoodoo exe, and select Direct12 Output API (i'm getting white artifacts without it). Now launch game.exe - and voila, silky smooth fps.
