Alaric.us: Have you tried Ori and the Blind Forest? It's an absolutely gorgeous (and super difficult, at least for me) platformer.

GOG has it: https://www.gog.com/game/ori_and_the_blind_forest_definitive_edition

This sequence was the most difficult. It look me about a hundred tries to beat it. When I finally did, I felt as if I had accomplished something truly great! =) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q066WFtOSaw
I have been eyeing that honestly. I got the ending spoiled but platforming challenges are always my bag. Looking at that video the first 10 seconds reminds me of an ending secret boss in aquaria, the rest is very good looking too gonna have to get that. The platforming in that segment looks to be a step up from anything I had to do in Axiom Verge too. Looks like your next step is La Mulana if you have cleared that Ori part. :P

I am MOST CERTAINLY not man enough for anything even slightly more difficult. It took all I had when I beat this game in March of 2015. Still, the stunning art and the awesome music were worth the frustration, along with that immense satisfaction from completing such a tremendous task. Give it a shot. =)

On my list for next pay day :) Go for Axiom Verge then, not as difficult as ori platforming combined with something like 20 weapons most of them hidden away and most of them legitimately useful.

So that's what a platformer is. Now I know why I didn't know.

You didn't know what a platformer was? Like Super Mario or Sonic?

Watch him turn out to be like 12 and legitimately has never seen a 2d platformer before.

Goddamn I feel old.

Don't know either game,I like to play rpg's and strategy types. Also the graphics are important to me and these games with I suppose 1980's pixels are completely ignored/forgotten by me.

Breja: Is that a game about raising kids in space? Cause I got to tell you, Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids.
avatar
tinyE: Lost in Space

Loved the show and I loved the movie.
It's tough to raise children in space. The Robinsons knows everything about that!

There is a reason why dads are lost in space - they can't ask for directions to either mars or venus :p
Please don't abuse tinyE, he is a good guy who conributes humor to GOG forums

I still don't get the sneaky depepping part

john_hatcher: I don't want to anger or piss you off, but why make a thread like this? Looks to me, as if this is an attempt to draw attention to yourself. Why not just do what you said without making a new thread?
avatar
tinyE: The very act of posting itself is a means of drawing attention to yourself. :P

Be it a thread or just a single post, you are drawing attention to yourself.

The other day I started a thread about the NES MINI coming out today, and by doing that I was drawing attention to myself. Why didn't you get on me for that? :P

I started a help thread on the Project Zomboid forum because I have A LOT of question about it. I am pleading with people to pay attention to me and help me find answers those questions. Again, you didn't give me crap for that.
You either don't want to understand my point or you just don't get the difference between making a single post to answer a question or help someone and opening a thread to just push yourself in the spotlight. If it is the first, I'm out.

dtgreene: Phantasy Star 3. The game has some flaws (it feels unfinshed, to be honest), but I am enjoying it, even if it does sometimes get annoying.
I tried playing Phantasy Star 2 & 3 and... couldn't. Either it was too ugly, or the gameplay was too different from 4 (not to mention the difficulty spike in area changes). 4 Did a lot of good things right. Like being able to actually target which enemies you wanted to fight, a big one rather than being totally random.

Funny... Phantasy Star 4 got me into RPG and those types of games.

LOVE Ori and the Blind Forest. A little annoying I can't change the graphical quality a little to make it not run my GPU in hot and force the fans to run really loudly, but otherwise works fine. The jumping/platforming reminds me of the first Batman game a little (just a little).

tinyE: That's a regular. I honestly don't know how their temperament compares to the miniatures. They're all gorgeous though.
Speaking for this particular donkey, we were walking the dogs right past him and though the mutts were spazzing out, the donkey calmly moseyed on over. That's a good sign, methinks. Gonna have to remember to bring him apples next time.
