Please welcome two exciting puzzle platformers published by Meridian4 on GOG:

Soulless: Ray of Hope (-75%)
Schein (-75%)

Both titles are discounted until 15th July 2022, 1 PM UTC. Also, get ready for a pixel art point-and-click murder mystery Murder Is Game Over that will arrive at our store in the future.
To the forums.

Schein actually had been on GoG before, if I remember correctly, so welcome back.

I notice the original Schein is now called Schein Base. Does anyone know if the separation of the original and returned Schein is purely for legal/GOG messup reasons or if there is a difference?

In Schein page the video id from Soulless: Ray of Hope.

And the Steam link of the bottom of the page.... i would deleted, doing ad from another store...

"Base" could imply that there's another (Deluxe?) edition with additional extras thrown in?

Just noticed that too, better get on it, GoG.
I also already already owned Schein - which is now named Schein Base as a previous user posted.
I'd also like to know wether there's any difference between the new release and the previous one to justify two different database entries.

As an aside - Schein is a very nice and interesting hardcore platformer (and I do mean "hardcore" - better to be played with a gamepad) with some very interesting mechanics. If anyone enjoys puzzle platforming and is not easily scared by difficulty, please buy this game!
Specially considering the low release price.
It looks as though the Schein subforum may have existed at the time of the original release but had its contents wiped for the re-release: I found this URL via Google that's now 404'd: https://www.gog.com/forum/schein/schein_has_been_updated_to_version_1130

Anyway, I found what I was looking for: me in 2017:

I seem to remember unwishlisting Schein after discovering that there's a Special Edition (game + OST) that was never available on GOG.
So that explains 'Schein base' I suppose, except that the gamecard still doesn't mention an OST, so...

GOG, any chance for Soulless for Linux? It's available on Steam. And I know you know it, because...

Cheers. I think Microids, Funbox Media, 1C, etc. have more games you could bring. It looks like more Strategy First games are unofficially confirmed; you should bring UberSoldier 2 from them (assuming they don't have the rights to Ubersoldier 1).
Um... why is there a link to purchase Schein on Steam on its GOG store page? XD

Jesus, GOG, when you bring back a once-removed game, don't wipe its existing forum.

I think it's called affiliate marketing and it's another idea to improve GOG financial results.

You really think GOG is redirecting customers to Steam for some extra scratch? Doesn't it mean that things are real bad in their financial department?

I think he was being ironic.
I don't know about their financial department but I'd bet that things are really bad concerning their work management.

Personally my suspicion is that the person responsible for the "Meridian4" just launched the site store changes and didn't even bothered to review the result. Of course there's also the option of some disgruntled GOG employee sabotaging/trolling the store.
EDIT: They didn't even bother to insert the correct trailer video for Schein, FFS!! XD

The GOGDB entry for Schein Base lists some bonus content wallpapers. No mention of them are made on the current Schein listing page.
