These independently developed masterpieces have been quietly making waves in the gaming industry, offering a unique and refreshing alternative to mainstream titles…

And now you can grab them on awesome deals with our Indie Sale – packing discounts up to -90% on titles that deserve a spotlight in your gaming repertoire.

You can find all the bargains HERE, but let’s take a close look at some of the examples:

UnderRail (-60%)
An old school turn-based isometric role playing game that focuses on exploration and combat.

It’s set in a distant future, when life on the Earth’s surface has long since been made impossible and the remnants of humanity now dwell in the Underrail, a vast system of metro station-states that, it seems, are the last bastions of a fading race.

EVERSPACE™ 2 (-40%)
A fast-paced single-player space shooter, where vicious encounters and brutal challenges stand between you and that next epic loot drop. Explore the war-torn star systems of the Demilitarized Zone of Cluster 34 – each massive handcrafted area is packed with secrets, puzzles, and perils to encounter.

Beyond a Steel Sky (-80%)
A dramatic, humorous, cyberpunk thriller in which engaging puzzles drive a fast-paced narrative set in a dynamic gameworld that responds to – and is subverted by – the player’s actions.

You are Robert Foster. A child has been abducted in a brutal attack. You have vowed to bring him home. The trail has led you to Union City, one of the last remaining mega-cities in a world ravaged by shattering wars, and political meltdown.

Dorfromantik (-30%)

A relaxing building strategy and puzzle game in which you place tiles to create ever-growing, idyllic village landscapes. With Dorfromantik, you can immerse yourself in a quiet, peaceful world at any time and take a break from everyday life. At the same time, Dorfromantik offers a challenge for those who are looking for one: To beat the highscore, you need to carefully plan and strategically place your tiles.

Kenshi (-55%)
A free-roaming squad based RPG focusing on open-ended sandbox gameplay features rather than a linear story. Be a trader, a thief, a rebel, a warlord, an adventurer, a farmer, a slave, or just food for the cannibals.

Research new equipment and craft new gear. Purchase and upgrade your own buildings to use as safe fortified havens when things go bad, or use them to start up a business. Aid or oppose the various factions in the world while striving for the strength and wealth necessary to simply survive in the harsh desert. Train your men up from puny victims to master warriors. Carry your wounded squad mates to safety and get them all home alive.

No Man's Sky (-50%)
A game about exploration and survival in an infinite procedurally generated universe in which every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. You'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before – and perhaps never will again.

If you're on the lookout for a new favorite gaming adventure, take a step into the world of Indie Games – you might just discover a hidden gem waiting to capture your heart and imagination. The sale lasts until January 22nd, 11 PM UTC. Enjoy!

Yes !
Cool, just want we needed...another sale with exactly the same prices as the last sale (that just ended) added to the the Weekly Sale; the Winter Sale Encore and the Classic Winter Sale.
Maybe you should start the "Just before Spring Sale"

I asked it before...is there anyone stupid enough to buy a game on GOG with regular pricing?

If it's the right game, I have the funds and I don't want to wait, then yes.

Why would people be stupid for buying games at regular pricing?

You probably just insulted a good amount of GOG users here for no valid reason lol.

Yeah, if anything I prefer to buy games only here. I know it's mostly symbolic, but I feel gog's business modell is much more humane than, you know, the alternative(s).
Glad that UnderRail gets the stage lights, thanks!

Odd that https://www.gog.com/en/game/xenonauts (of similar vein) belongs to the sale while https://www.gog.com/en/game/xenonauts_2 not. Because it belongs to the previous one (extended winter sale?). Not possible to have a game in two sales running in parallel, hmm ...

IMO, GOG and ZoomPlatform are the stores most worth supporting, for DRM-free and "underdog" status. Fireflower Games deserves a shoutout too, though they're pickier about their selection.

Any opinion on Itch?

Honestly I didn't even think of Itch. (Maybe because I haven't interacted with any staff there.) AFAIK it's a free-for-all kind of place with 0 curation, but I am certainly glad it exists. (I generally prefer less curation on GOG to more, but again afaik itch has none.)

I feel Itch is even worse that Gog for outdated games.
But there's no easy way to check versions either, unless it's stated in the installer.
Sometimes there isn't even a subforum to discuss about it.

I just visited Zoom-Platform and it's quite amazing! They even have Postal 3 (which was trash but still) and some other games you don't find on GoG.

Is it really 100% DRM-free?

Yes afaik. The majority - if not all - of ZP's selection are single-player games or old games with DRM-free multiplayer options from that era; I'm not sure if any of the games have disabled multiplayer. That said, ZP's selection is a lot smaller than GOG's.
