I've turned off every setting in my account regarding notifications about anything, yet I've received an e-mail about discounted games on my wishlist. Dear GOG Team, again: My wishlist notifications are turned off, I don't want to get any! And yes, I have already checked if they got turned on by some mistake (they are not).

So.. why is GOG sending me e-mails, ignoring my settings?

I have turned off the wishlist notifications and get no e-mails. Did this only happen today or is it a regular occurrence? If it occurred only today, do you, perhaps, have SWAT 4 in your wishlist? It seems that a bug has affected other people who wishlisted the game despite it not being discounted. If it is a regular occurrence, then you should consider cleaning up your cookies, enabling/disabling the wishlist notification option again, and if it still doesn't work, then you should contact support.

Good News™, GOG now surprises its customers! If you would have had your wishlist notification activated and they would have sent it, it wouldn't have been a surprise, would it? ;-)

Joking aside, it's probably just another one in a long list of glitches.

Maybe currently the flag isn't properly set to your account, so I'd activate the notification and then log out and back in to deactivate them again. It's worth a try, but it may be a simple glitch, you can't do anything about yourself. If it happens again, I'd contact support.

Edit: I don't think it has anything to do with cookies, because these settings are stored server side.

It is a recent occurence. I don't want it to become a regular one though.

What's funny is that I got an email saying Swat 4 has been discounted, when it hasn't. The notifications always have seemed screwed up from gog, at least for me.

Try unsubscribing directly from the mail; there should be some link down the mail content that reads "Unsubcribe from blah blah". It happened to me with another newsletter (not gaming related) where I couldn't unsubscribe from the website account panel but as soon as I hit the relevant link inside the mail, *boom*, no more mails.

I got a wishlist email today for Crosscode and Mainlining, despite being unsubscribed from wishlist notifications. This is the only time this has happened, so I'm guessing it's just a bug or something on GOG's end.
