I've torn here, i've never played the gothic games but have always been interested in trying with the sci-fi being a big plus. I've also been trying some of the recent Obsidian CRPGs which i liked and have heard the glowing reviews for Divinity. As such, which should i get?

I've not played D:OS2 yet, but the reviews for it are stellar. I finished Elex not long ago and loved it, but I really like PB's games, so there's a bias at work there. I guess it depends on whether you want a party-based game or a single character +1 companion.

Definitely Divinity OS 2. If you want sci-fi, get Seven.

I am currently still playing Divinity: Original sin 2 myself. I can recommend it if you like games like that. It's in the same genre as Pillars of eternity although ways better in storytelling if you ask me.
