GOG.com: Time for an action roguelike game
Is it all-the-god-damn-time o'clock already?

My thoughts.
I can't even count the insane number of roguelikes being released here. Is this the easiest game mechanic to make?

Hard pass.

It's not a roguelike. Action roguelike is an oxymoron.

To me those are two different game mechanics. Action games give you direct control over your character (as opposed to turn-based and stuff) and rogue-like means to me: One death and you start from the beginning.
Into the Necropail! Necrobucket?

But I must ask the developer, what makes you think you're going to be the one to get away with that stupid looking fake CRT look in a game that doesn't even fit the aesthetic of having a dumb shadow mask plastered over the visuals?

You're equating permadeath with roguelike. That's like saying the animal has four legs, so it must be a Zebra.

Roguelikes have permadeath and are turn-based and some more things.
