Better get ready, because Banquet for Fools is now available in early access on GOG – with a -15% launch discount until January 15th, 2 PM UTC!

Explore the island of Invimona in this open-world adventure with four generated companions. Depending on the stats given to them they'll each have unique choices in dialogue with NPCs and amongst each other as they bond over the course of the journey. You're assigned a pack-boro for your mission, who can carry a boat as well as extra items you pick up along the way, and together you all can hike and portage around the Invimona rivers and sea.

Now on GOG!

I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon as the art style is incredibly well done, it's an art style that will stand the test of time, I'm glad they did not go for photorealism, as that style of art gets dated real easy, and ends up showing its age real quick, looking at you, gothic…

It really sucks it's on early access, as I would have bought this now!

NoClass77: I bought it because I like supporting small developers and I'm impressed by the graphics from the previews. Serpent in the Staglands was a bit too hard for me. Hope this one is a little bit more streamlined and balanced.
Agreed, SOtSL was a bit too frustrating and dry, though I loved the art direction with that game as well...

Having played about 20 minutes of Banquet For Fools I can already say the combat is a lot more accessible. Not getting slaughtered by foxes is a nice change ha ha.
Wow, judging by that slider, this game has more sex than The Witcher!

Nice! A whole banquet just for me!
The art style of the world looks nice enough but the faces of the Vollings, oh boy...... they look like inbred living dead.

Right on my birthday!
Looks really interesting I like the look of this!
But, for me to give this a try, specially in EA, the keybinds need to be rebindable sry. Its basic in any game.
Untill then it remains on my wishlist.
I'm really looking forward to this but given it's RPG, I'll wait for 1.0 after trying the demo.

There's a demo? Wait, wait, I know this one. It's only on The Other Store..

Seriously, why are so many demos exclusive to them when the games are not?

Whats peoples experiences with the demo? Just played it briefly last night and i like it. Scratches the old itch ....i rarely buy into early access....

Maybe cause the smaller indie devs only have a handful of people who work on the game (isnt it 1 or 2 in this case?)?. cant blame them although i dunno how much work it would be to do two demos

Probably convenience, cost for smaller devs and big corps need accounting justify anything. I mean beyond high classics or super popular titles, GOG likely get less than 1% sales of a new indie IP compared to Steam. It's annoying sure but understandable.
