Elmofongo: Actually it does and not only that why is it the mainstream media is barely talking about it?

I mean for one they don't often show re-runs of it on TV?

If this show is that great why is it so underrepresented?

Breja: I'm sorry, I really don't know how to even have that conversation, it's so mind-bogglingly idiotic. If you seriously believe that how easy something is to buy and how often it shows up in mainstream media is is a testament to it's quality, then we have nothing to talk about.
Than let us return to the original topic at hand and explain to me how stuff like Babylon 5 and Firefly and Blake's 7 is superior to Mass Effect?

I just said Mass Effect is a B5 rip-off. The backstory, the world, the themes and plenty of other elements have been lifted wholesale from the series. It's not any more of an atack against it then stating that The Magnificent Seven is a reworking of Seven Samurai would be an attack on that movie.

For another- yes, I do believe that they are better- better written, more original, with more interesting characters who are not just there for a single main character to have stiff conversations with and make passes on. And layered stories that actually make sense.

All that said, I'm not sure why you picked to argue with me, I'm not one of the people being all that negative about ME- I said I liked the first game, didn't I? Yes, I do thing that it went downhill form there, and the ending to ME 3 sucks like a thousand black holes, but the first game was really good- for an action game with RPG elements. And the fact that it was a B5 rip-off wasn't really a big problem for me. Actually ,seeing how we never got any B5 video games it might be one of the reasons I enjoyed it :P

Because I was on board with the hate train against this game. Even though I have not played any of the games until all 3 of them came out.

I eat up all the bad things everyone said about the Mass Effect Trilogy like a sheep.

Than I finally played this game, than I bought all the relevent DLC for it.

And after the whole journey and experiance of it.

Mass Effect deserves all the accolodes and praise it gets.
From what I've gathered the remaster is for consoles only. I don't believe they will update for pc's. Maybe that will change?
Mass Effect Series Remaster Not in the Cards, Says EA's Peter Moore

MikeMaximus: They need a full trilogy release on GOG, with all the DLC included.
This would be awesome! :)

I like both Sheridan and Sinclair but definitely prefer Sheridan. He's my favorite TV scifi captain an I once named an RP character of mine John after him with that character's last words being a paraphrase of some of the orders Sheridan gave during the first big fleet battle against the Shadows.

However while Mass Effect and Babylon 5 definitely have some elements in common they are far too different for Mass Effect to be a rip off IMO. Especially since I don't believe any of those plot elements were first created by Babylon 5. And yeah I consider it a travesty that we never got any Babylon 5 console or PC games.
EA remastered games.. probably just a bump in price lol.
I would definitely settle for a Trilogy release with all DLCs here.
I just wish people were allowed to make a mod that ended the whole series in the very first game, for me the only good game in the series, some kind of DLC/expansion mod that would conclude my experience of the series in a more positive and respectful manner, which I think the first game deserves.

Post-edit: I agree that the sequels are better in terms of production quality, but the rest was a downgrade.

I wouldn't mind that either but frankly, I don't see that happening.
In the meantime we have the Mass Effect Andromeda 4K Tech Video
