A Dungeon of Love for Valentine’s Day from GOG.com and EA!

Today of all days, a good part of the world celebrates love in all shapes, sizes, and flavors. For us at GOG.com, there is no greater love than the love of classic PC games. We love them, you love them, and you know what? We love you as well! So we decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day by partnering up with our friends at Electronic Arts to offer you an exclusive Dungeon Keeper promotion:

For the next 48 hours Dungeon Keeper Gold (complete with the Deeper Dungeons expansion) can be added to your GOG.com account for free! If you already own it on GOG.com, you can still get one extra gift-code for the game and present it to your significant other gamer, or a friend.

Spend time quality time protecting your Dungeon Heart from invaders and experience this classic series first hand. Further, the excellent sequel, Dungeon Keeper 2, is available for only $1.49 as a part of our special Valentine's Day promo. The offer lasts until Sunday, February 16, at 10:59AM GMT.

Would you rather storm and loot dungeons rather than protect them? Our special Destination: Dungeons & Dragons promo has you covered with a great collection of RPG classics up to 80% off!

andreykl: I cant understand how to add Free version to my account? Could somebody guide me?
On the front page of GOG.com, click on the button that says "Get it now!"

Wait. We'll email you when our severs are a little less busy melting down than they are now. :)
Hmmm... you said I'd get a game... but said game has not showed up... Most realistic Valentines Day promo EVER!

:p

Thanks for the game, I'm sure it will get worked out.

ZCAvian: Thanks GoG, downloading now.

The email does take a while, though, so be patient, folks.
avatar
pimpmonkey2382: The thing is I did get the email and did what it said, no game.
Okay, *that's* not as designed, then. The email should have been a regular-looking purchase confirmation email. If the game's not on your shelf (maybe you wanna run a search on the shelf to be sure) then you should contact Support.
avatar
korell: I don't even have the confirmation email. Nothing has happened on clicking the button at all. Afraid to refresh in case it thinks I've used it when nothing has in fact registered to my account.
avatar
DyNaer: didn't get any email either , the thing should have been explosed :)
Yeah, no email here either.

Erm, do I have to leave it going after I've clicked the button? Only I need to leave for a short while and I'll be turning my PC off. It is still spinning, so am I okay to shut down?
avatar
almabrds: I sent a message to support.
The reply:

Hello

To limit server load, the free game orders are queued, and processed when processing power allows. It may take a few minutes until the order is fully processed, after which you will get a confirmation e-mail, and gain access to the game in your "My Account" section.

To make sure that you have been queued, please go to the main page and check the Dungeon Keeper promo banner. If there is a "Get it now" button, please use it again. If there is a "Enjoy your game" notification instead of the button, then you are queued and will get an e-mail shortly.

Let's just have more patience (I know it's kinda hard :p).

Thanks for the free game, GOG!

ALH: Thx for the update and once again thx to GOG for the free game!Still no email or DK on the shelf but GOG will handle it eventually, i'm sure.
The lag, right now, is running at 1 hour + from when you get into the queue. Patience. ;)

Well. You guys ARE promoting the shear awesomeness of Hell ITSELF. :D
So stuff tends to get a little hot with it.

*continues to patiently wait for his DK1 to arrive*

The spinning bit is weird it should redirect you almost immediately. What browser are you using?

IE9

It has been spinning for about 20 minutes and nothing.

Do I refresh the page?

IE is a bit wonky with this button apparently. Can you use any other browser?

Me and my little brother havent received any emails yet (about 1.5h ago maybe?)...but great game for free, so no reason to complain. I can wait :)

Anyways, you should consider trying to have huge freebie like this more often and then capture and sell all the excess heat from melting servers -> €€€. I wouldnt mind buying electricity generated by GOG servers :D

TheEnigmaticT: snip
will there be an enigmatic hint today? Sorry if this has been asked before.

PS: I would get the rights to the phrase "enigmatic hint" if I were you :)
