Good Day Management at GOG and everybody around the world

Is there by any chance that Dune 2000 and Emperor: Battle For Dune will be released on GOG's platform?

Please let me know.

Regards
Gerann

Publishers: Electronic Arts.
I believe, it's been a while since they released something here on GOG.
With that said: nothing is impossible. I just wouldn't hold my breath, if I were you. ;)

Very unlikely, I'm afraid. And not because of EA, believe it or not, but the family of Frank Herbert, who have the rights - obviously. They don't seem very open to re-release old Dune game media.
At least that was the state for 2018, when NoClip's GOG video was released and this topic was raised in the video.
Since no Dune has been released since then, I think the situation remains unchanged.
An extra vote for Dune 2000 and Emperor: Battle for Dune on the community wishlist probably won't make any difference - but then again, it might.

After the rights issues are resolved, GOG might take some inspiration from this guy on how to then get Emperor working.

I remember reading somewhere that Frank Herbert's estate hates all Dune video games that were based on the 1984 movie directed by David Lynch, which is the primary reason those games have never received re-releases on digital storefronts.
Abandonware without remorse. You are never going to see these games sold again.
Sorry, nothing.

Basically, the estate really doesn't like these games.
It's a shame too because the soundtracks are pretty bangin'.
Reminds me of the Lensman. Whole series of anime was created and someone(authors wife?) was like....nah, we need you to not make a living from the work done, after it was green lit and created.

I'm proponent of strong copyright laws.

And if that was frank Herbert action, even if I disagreed with it, his property, can do what the heck he wants with it.

But estates doing that, that's just wrong. Dune 2 is incredible important piece of gaming history, it must be preserved and must be allowed to be accessed by the public. Estates should not be allowed to do so.
