Lazy Game Reviews, who claims to be an avid Duke fan, has already put up a review.

His review of the new edition calls it, paraphrased, mediocre.

It's over priced.
The 'True3D' mode is trumped by Polymer for eDuke32.
It's not the GRP files.
The fifth episode is somewhat lackluster.
Sound quality is lacking in comparison to the original/eDuke32

So, yeah. Those are his gripes.

Missing some shine there, perhaps?
Trailer looks awesome and that's an undeniable fact ;P

To be fair, LGR says that the new levels are put together very well in terms of structure, size and scope. According to him, that's about 90 minutes of new gameplay. That alone makes me curious to play the new episode.

What he didn't like about the new content is basically this:

- the new weapon, the Incinerator, isn't much fun to use in his opinion
- the new enemy type comes off as threatening at first but isn't much of challenge, especially if you have the RPG
- the final boss of the episode is way too easy to take down

All in all, I'll wait for a deep discount before I buy this. I'm also a little pissed that Gearbox made sure that World Tour is currently the only available digital version of Duke 3D. >_>
