darthspudius: Buy some vinyl, doesn't more old school (and fun) than that!

Ganni1987: I'm more of a CD person when it comes to albums, but sometimes I want to buy a single not available in an Album, that's where digital download comes in.

In any case, Google Play seems to be DRM-Free and the prices are very good, bought a single and transferred it to my phone without issues.

Thanks everyone for the help.
Don't forget Amazon autorip. You can also buy a majority of single songs with out buying the album.

Dalswyn: I've tried to find information about the sound quality of their releases, but Amazon's website is helpless. I suppose they don't have lossless files, but what do they use?

darthspudius: Mp3 360 kbps. Fine sound quality. Haven't had a problem with them so far.
320k? Good to know, thank you! :)

You're welcome. You can get the Mp3's with Vinyl and CD aswell as buying it from the digital store. I don't know if many people notice that feature.

BKGaming: Pretty much all music is DRM free nowadays, and yea that includes itunes. I buy my music from Amazon because I use them a lot and I prefer the MP3 format, music is DRM free there too.

As far as I'm aware most of the major stores are DRM free these days. Amazon and Google Play (Not 100% sure they are DRM free as I've never purchased from them, but I believe they are) are both big and should have pretty much any major artists, and I can vouch for Amazon's DRM freeness as I've purchased from there in the past. iTunes is also DRM free but can be a bit more hassle actually making use of your music if you don't use iTunes and Apple products (as far as I'm aware the only option to get music from iTunes is still in Apple's own format, so you'd have to convert it)

Amazon's also great as if you buy a CD they automatically give you the digital versions straight away (in the UK anyway, not sure if it's a worldwide program), and they keep a back up for you, in case anything ever happens to your CD.
This!
I love Amazon - they have a huge selection and their "AutoRip"-Feature is supercool.

I remember the day, when I logged into Amazon, and out of a sudden a whole bunch of MP3s were downloadable for free, only because I had bought the CDs some time ago.

The day those cd's were validated for autorip was amazing. I think I got like 200 or more albums digitally in one go.

Yeah,...it WAS amazing - and such a nice surprise...I mean, I wasn't expacting that to happen, logged in and...tada!

;o)

Oh, and not to forget - often the CD is cheaper as the MP3-album.
So I buy the CD AND get the MP3 version for free - absolutely fantastic.
That's what I call more bang for the buck.

Now if they only would add AutoRip to DVD video purchases. It'd be awesome being able to download video files of the discs I bought.

that would be amazing. My favourite is buying Vinyl and still getting the digital rip. Makes life so much easier.

I had previously stated Amazon isn't available in my country (which I find it strange that google can and they can't for the matter). Got what I wanted on google anyhow and most probably I'll buy more.

If I try USA I'll have same problem as the UK site (which is where I mainly buy goods from).
Loudr might be one to try. I believe they are the ones who currently host the Game Music Bundle.
