It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I am unable to download anything from the website. It seems like it tries to but nothing happens. Does anyone know what is going on?

You should include more information: OS, browser you use, any error messages, game(s) you are trying to download, screencaps.

Anyway, this seems like a good question for GOG Support. https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/categories/201553005 They are very friendly and helpful. ;)
Windows 10, Firefox, no error messages since when i click the link nothing happens and it was the gog galixy client and the downloader and the game Witcher 3.

Did you try unchecking the "block pop-up" option in Firefox? Do you have any ad blockers or special filters installed? Try temporarily disabling those and see if it works.

If it works in chrome and not firefox I'd hazard a guess that you aren't on the most recent version, GoG can be flaky on older versions of some browsers.

Either that or as already suggested, check you browser options for anything that may block the download.
I just unchecked the block pop up option didn't work. and i no longer have an ad blocker. and it still didn't work. and my firefox is up to date.
Thanks for the help every one.
