It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

If the internet connection is not a problem, maybe some settings in the firewall are?

I also live in a region where download speeds are slow at times. Sometimes Galaxy does not work at all without a VPN.

What I normally do:
1) Start the download of an offline installer in the browser (https://www.gog.com/account)
2) Quickly move to the "Downloads" page in the browser, copy the full download link, cancel the download
3) Quickly paste the download link into the download manager and start the download from there

This usually works quite well and maxes out my line, at least in the night and early morning.

Please note that pausing and resuming a paused download will usually not work due to the authorization checks. AFAIK it is not possible to store and use the exact link for more than a few seconds.

Edit @ nightcrawler: A download manager can use parallelization, you can have maybe 8 or 10 simultaneous connections, as many as the download source allows. Downloading directly in the browser uses AFAIK only one connection. If that one is slow, then the overall download speed comes to a crawl.

P.S.: Your text would be easier to read with some paragraphs. I guess you can expect more replies if the post looks more "inviting" to read.

UsmIjz: I am about to give up on GOG , first of all i have always used steam and recently i decided to buy some old and new games through GOG galaxy 2.0 because i love the idea of having drm free games , being able to download offline installers for gog games and ability to have all of my library in one place thus i added a lot of games to my wishlist but the download problems persists .When i try to download games through gog galaxy the download speed never goes above 30 or 35 kbps , before anyone says that check ur internet connection and other stuff blah blah yeah i checked everything including checking my download speeds on speedtest.net , steam , origins client , uplay and i swear i get full download speeds up to 2 megabytes / sec. Another thing i should mention is that i live in Pakistan.I am also facing problems when i try to download offline installer through gog website , the first time i press to download offline installer through internet download manager it captures the address and gives full download speed but as soon as i pause it and want to resume it the download manager is unable to resume it and gives the error of connection timet out . Resuming apart the download manager won't even start the dowload as a fresh download when trying to download it for the second time. Then i tried downloading it with browser and it repeats the same issue of slow download speed as my gog galaxy client does. What the heck is all this sh** seriously ? I love gog as a developer and i love gog galaxy but im sorry if my problems persists im gonna give up on gog .
Use browser downloads, does that do the same, I.e. don’t use any download manager or client, just plain browser download?

thankx for the info , copy and pasting the link directly does solve the problem but i still don't understand why download speeds in gog galaxy client never goes above 30 or 40 kb ? The games which have achievements and cloud saves etc, how can we link those games installed through offline installer with the gog client ?
I am sorry what do u mean by my post should look more inviting ?

"30 or 40 kb" Landline modem speeds :-( Would not want to download a game bigger than some megabytes then.
