The main site is currently being remodeled and just has Steam links to their games, but they only seem to be showing off games they have made, or have rights to sell by themselves, and all other games from the store aren't acknowledged. You can't access your DRM-free games, and who knows if they'll still be there after the update. Also, Irem Arcade Classics doesn't seem to be listed at the bottom, so they may have already lost the rights to that.
For example Sanitarium has AppStore, amazon, Google play and steam links. But no GOG. Disappointing...
Oh shit, I just remembered I had Metal Mutant on there. Wonder if I can still get it.
The most worrying thing is that they seem to abandon DRM-free approach completely.
Of course, that probably tells about the market potential (or lack of) that DRM-free really has.

I think I have most (but sadly not all) of my games downloaded from there, so if they really take off DRM-free files, I won't lose that much. The loss to the DRM-free cause will be much greater though.

I can only hope that this is some kind of weird cyberhacking, and they are not changing anything, but that seem highly unlikely.

The personal irony here is that I made my first DotEmu purchases during GOG fake shutdown as a protest to losing access to my DRM-free files...
If it is currently under maintenance and being redone, maybe wait until it is complete before going all Chicks Little?
Blimey, not been on that site in years. Brought a fair bit from them, but all downloaded so no panic there. Sad to hear they have abandoned DRM free, it was their only selling point, much like ShinyLoot, I expect they will disappear. Thing is if companies want to be like steam, they will just disappear into the steam cloud, its only being different that would allow them a market to exploit. GOG would do well to look at this for their future as they move to being a steam wannabe (and don't say they are not, client, indev, shit DLC, regional pricing etc.).
"Oh shit" is right. Well, there goes my Sega DRM-free collection. It's a good thing I didn't buy too much from them.

Still, it was a dick move to take away game access from paying customers.
Still have to download one game from their site :-/ They also had multilingual versions of some games not available here (or elsewhere?) like the Dark Fall games.
Too early to say anything yet, but lack of access to the library is certainly worrying.
Dotemu was and is an odd one. The way the site and the store were maintained, it was almost like they hated the idea and somebody was forcing them to do that. No updates, ugly design, broken scripts, all kinds of fun. They've got a number of games at some point but it did not look like their business was particularly booming. Most people probably got stuff from them through a series of giveaways a few years ago.
Most of their "exclusives" are available from other places - Irem Arcade Hits and Silmarils Collection are on GamersGate (GOG has most but not all of the Silmarils stuff). IIRC, they had rather different version of The Last Express - I am not sure if that is available anywhere else.
How about they take their shitty Raptor port too and 3D Realms can give us the original? Never seen such a shoddy piece of shit in my life.
I don't think Dotemu is down, but just under maintenance. If they decided to shutdown, an email may be sent to all their customers to backup their library, like Shinyloot did.

Don't panic !
I think GOG ate my earlier message... anyway, I have downloaded all my DotEmu (DRM-free) games a long time ago already, so no problem. They are safe and sound on three different hard drives, Hardwar and Bloodlines included.

That reminds me though that there were some more games I wanted to buy from them, which GOG doesn't have. Like the Sudden Strike series. So hopefully they will still be sold after the maintenance.

i bought vampire the masquerade bloodlines (drm-free no less) in like 2012. need to make sure i have it backed up as soon as i get home.
The only interesting games I own there are the Gabriel Knight which are available in French while they are English only here. No problem for me even if they remove them as I have the installers backed up somewhere.
