Just a suggestion....it'd likely be easier and more organized to make a thread called something like "Dosbox Staging Releases" and then update it every time a new version comes out. :)
Too bad it will take years for GOG to update all the dosbox games here with the new version.

Per Staging's website:
DOSBox Staging is separate from and not supported by the SourceForge-hosted DOSBox project or its development team, the DOSBox Team.

We acknowledge and are thankful for the work shared by all DOSBox contributors.

I agree, posting new topics is getting tedious. If some mods can rename this topic to "DOSBox Staging" (or something similar), that would be helpful.

Otherwise, on 0.76.1 release I will create a new one (without mentioning the exact version name) and will keep reusing that new one for posting info about new releases :)

That doesn't mean that GOG couldn't update some installers to use DOSBox Staging instead of old DOSBox ;) That would quick and easy solution for providing Linux versions for games like Settlers 2, Mortal Kombat series and many others (there are way too many DOS games without Linux release on GOG…).

I wonder if this fixes the rather annoying game crash on Screamer.

Has anyone given it a try?

In many cases, if there's not a Linux version on GOG for a game that uses DOSBox, the reason is almost certainly publisher-related. You'll notice that there are no Ubisoft or Activision games available for Linux here, for example, despite both publishers (especially Acti) having quite a few DOS-based games in the catalogue that would be fairly easy for GOG to package with some form of DOSBox.
