Dos games no longer work in Mac OS X 10.15 beta (1 or 2). This issue seems to be caused by the fact that 32 bit is no longer supported in OS X 10.15, and the dosbox emulation gog is using is 32 bit. DosBox 0.74-2 brought 64-bit support to their Mac version, so hopefully this is a known issue that GOG will resolve before the official release of Catalina. Has anyone found a workaround? Can someone at GOG make sure this is a known issue?
I don't use the shipped dosbox for any of my games, but instead use the one I have installed system-wide. I use the shipped dosbox configs only as hints, as well, but it probably doesn't make much difference.

Excuse my ignorance, but can't you just do the same thing on your mac? I mean, yeah, it's a little extra effort, and going forward, I guess gog should update their installers, maybe, assuming they aren't going for support for older 32-bit systems as well, but this doesn't seem like a hard fix.

Good luck getting old Windows games to work with Wine without 32-bit support, by the way. Then again, maybe I'm just out of touch and there is already a solution for that, as well.

This would work; I was mostly wondering if GOG was already working on their installers. You can still download the game from GOG and use it with DosBox.
According to my system profiler, a lot of my GOG DOS games are already 64-bit compatible. All of my AD&D collection games, for example, are reported as 64-bit compatible, and do not elicit a warning from the OS about compatibility. So it would seem that progress is already being made.

Just noticed this too, however I noticed it with some non-DOS games like Doorkickers and for some reason I thought my actual DOS games that went through the dosbox wrapper worked but nope so GOG is basically worthless on Catalina.
You could just swap out 32-bit DOSBox for 64-bit DOSBox. Nothing says you're forced to use the version GOG includes.
Is there a solution for gaming on a Macbook Catalina? I wanne play old DOS games or OLD windows games.
Someone a solution?
Just as stated above your post, a lot of the DOS games have been fixed on GOG.com.

The situation is worse for old 32bit games. There may come a solution next year or the decade after that but for now you would have to go for Bootcamp and either install Windows or a version of Linux + Wine that support 32bit programs. Not all do.

Actually CrossOver now supports 32-bit Windows games under Catalina.

Let's hope that Apple will not remove 32-bit codes in their kernel.

I was able to download 64 bit dosbox and get Stonekeep to work perfectly. It took me a little messing around to get it to work but obviously it wouldn't be hard to update it and fix it. I hope they will. They did update all of the lands or lore games and they work now.

It looks like GOG just updated the game, it works now.
Not all DOS games have been updated for Catalina. The games from Pinball Gold Pack still list as incompatible for me. It's a shame, honestly, as even my fellow Amiga owners say that the DOS ports are pretty good.
