Now, when I hit my GOG browser link I immediately double-check because the loud, pastel-colored, square-block site looks like something designed for pre-schoolers instead of adults. I don't get it, frankly. I don't care for it at all. What was wrong with the original site? Seemed much more oriented toward adults. Such a pity to spend a decade establishing GOG.com and building an image--only to wipe it all away. Rock Paper Shotgun did the same thing a couple of months ago--and while it used to be a daily stop for me, I no longer visit--the garish, clashing colors actually hurt my eyes, believe it or not. Terrible decisions. Hope GOG comes to its senses and reverts...! I'm not sure I could ever get used to this.

As much as GOG seems to imitate Steam, this is one area where they parted company decisively. Steam has maintained its site looks and its image since day one--evidently Valve understands the concept of creating a solid image and staying with it. You'd think it would be common knowledge and just plain good business practice. I guess some companies have better judgment than others!

Dunno, I could use more shades of pink and lime and hand drawn kitties & teddy bears.

I'd legitimately be in favor of this.
It would be a massive fix if they would just move the news section to the top and go back to having individual pages for sales (so I can see how much longer a sale will be on for).

Making the news section more visible, and being able to see more than just a few news articles, is the only thing that I would say still has an impact for me. One can like more or less the color scheme or the design, but now that the list view is back in the catalogue, it doesn't really matter (at least to me) when looking for or buying games.

I think most sales have their individual pages once again (the most notable exception seems to be the superbig events like the winter sale): https://www.gog.com/forum/general/list_of_gog_sales_that_have_a_standalone_promo_page

I only just noticed that the individual sales pages are back - when did that happen :p ?? Since the redesign I haven't visited the front page much, as you can probably tell.

Do they still offer a daily sale? If so, they need to add a tab for that in the 'whats on sale' section, preferably with a 'time remaining' counter.

Judging by that thread, they have been regularly including them since at least November. It's only the big ones (like winter sale) that are still directed towards the catalogue page.

Daily sales (other than the rotating ones during the winter sale) seem to have been replaced by the midweek and weekend sales.

Stuff like this is the main thing that annoys me. How is a sale going to generate revenue for them if no one even knows what's on sale anymore. The layout has been improved for sales since the initial redesign. They have sale pages back and they put up a sale tile on the main page so you can get to it... but if they got rid of the daily deals than just put out a news release saying so... otherwise we will just assume that the sites garbage navigation since the redesign is the reason we can't find it.
