1. Any chance of having Dominions 3 and 4 sold here any time soon?
2. For single player only, which is better, Dominions 3 or 4?
3. I can find the games sold at 3 places. Gamersgate with drm "Other DRM" (what's that in this case?), Steam and Desura as "DRM-Free". Doesn't Desura require a client and/or online activation?
4. GOG, please bring these games now!
damn ti its not THE question i was expecting from this thread
http://www.gog.com/forum/general/to_question_or_not_to_question
a very important question that you see im sure it wil be life changing

and im also sure the awnser wil NOT be 42
what?
so, no one knows if they are truly DRM free as they are here, or not?

From what I can tell, it seems to be the case with Desura. If you click on the "install game" button on the game's page, you have the option for "direct download" of an installer and zip files. Of course, there could be some kind of DRM involved anyway.
The only thing I really know about Desura is that you don't even need an account to download the free titles they have. The "direct download" option for Dominions 3 even has the game's demo on offer.

Basically the game uses an old fashioned cd key system that prompts you to enter the cd key to activate the game before you can play it. As such it does not confirm to gogs standards of zero drm. This is what gamersgate other drm means and is mentioned in desura and gamersgate reviews and also on the dev site.

Are you saying it needs online connection to activate the key|?

No online activation as much as I understand. You only insert a cd key that you get delivered with the game and its activated.

Fantastic. Thank you very much.

Now, any idea if for single player 4 is actual better than 3? :)
