The Witcher: Enhanced Edition still runs on Windows 7, despite Windows 10 listed as minimum OS requirement.

Game: The Witcher: Enhanced Edition
Store: GOG
Version: 1.5_(cs)_gog_0.2_(77554)
We are not alone runs on Windows 7.

Game: We are not alone
Store: GOG
Version: 1.9.5.1_gog_win_(82607)
Hollow Knight Silksong doesn't run on Windows 8.1 out of the box, throws an SetThreadDescriptor error about UnityPlayer.dll. Any mention of the error seems to point to a unsupported OS and indeed, the game launches fine on Win10.

Tested the Steam version wich is as DRM-free as one could get as long as the steam_appid.txt + 1030300 file is on game location.

When I get a little more time have to test with DXVK to see if it runs.

Edit: I wasn't able to run the game to run with DXVK neither VxKex. That said, my system is not updated and several people on Steam forum claimed the game runs fine on Windows 7 using VxKex. While both 7 and 8.1 are very similar to the point most drivers work fine between them, it seems VxKex don't work as intended in Windows 8.1.

"Severed Steel" works fine on Win 7
Hello Forum! Has anyone attempted to play GOG's/Akupara's recent release of point-and-click games on W7? System requirements for two of the four games list DirectX 9.0c as a requirement, which makes me itch to believe that those two titles may indeed play well on W7. But the latter two games list DirectX 10 as a requirement. I was hoping for a definitive confirmation in this thread prior to making a purchase. ;) Thanks in advance! Much appreciated.

The games I'm refering to:
The Preposterous Awesomeness of Everything
Four Last Things
The Procession to Calvary
Death of the Reprobate

Hello, matterbandit! In regards to your question: probably. I've played the first not at all, the middle two both on Steam, and the latter on GOG just long enough to walk around, save the game, and make sure it seemed functional.

Thanks for replying to my post, SultanOfSuave! To be honest, I was really hoping for a "definitely" rather than a "probably". ;) But, that's okay... I'll be keeping my eye on this thread before I make any purchases. ;)

Well, indeed. Unless some other kind soul has a more definite answer, it's the best you will receive for the moment; and I thought it better than no response at all, as I don't intend to repurchase the other titles on GOG for the time being. Even if I were to go ahead and beat the most recent title just for you, it would still remain a probably.

And I really appreciated you replying to my post! :) Thank you very much, SultanOfSuave! Sorry if I've offended you... I guess the "probably" threw me completely off guard and gave me the (wrong?) impression that you weren't sure. It just confused me, because what followed sounded like great news to me: you've played both the 2nd and 3rd games on W7 on Steam and the last game also on W7 from GOG. So, 3 out of 4 games working on W7 is pretty good!! :D
