Bought my first game from GOG in a while (Rogue Trader, got a nice discount code in email) and I've tried installing it four times now. It downloads ~30 GB of the 31.86 GB game, then just stops. Google is full of results about this happening to all sorts of different games in the past few years, with lots of advice about restarting Galaxy, or renaming the one magic file that causes it to do the bare minimum of downloading and installing the game, but all renaming all the .download files did was cancel my 4th attempt for me.

I've now downloaded ~150 GB and still have no game. Guess I should just get rid of galaxy and download the installers only?

Okay, maybe it's not a Galaxy issue. Maybe it's just a GoG issue. All of the parts (parts? I thought sharing large files via newsgroup posts went away a decade ago?), as well as the patches and DLC downloads failed.

Guess I'm just wasting my money here.

There is already thread going on. Probably server issues..
Yes, normally things "just work", even though the download speeds tend to jump more than elsewhere. Currently, about 70% of my installs go to about 90% and then just stall. Luckily, server issues get a better treatment than Galaxy issues, :) but it might take a few days still.
