I remember during the 90's when VR was last attempted a full page advert in either Dungeon or Dragon magazine where TSR was looking for investors for a Dungeons and Dragons VR themepark.

Of course technically impossible back then, the idea was wearable computers + VR helmet. People would join in a shared VR game around a real location. Pretty much what The void is doing now.

Mind you I also vividly remember being able to float down the Stairs and watching a flotilla space ships from my bedroom window, so there is a good chance that didn't happen either.
That's really made me want to see the d&d tv series again (and I have it on the shelf!)!
All I remember is the short lived hype about VR when it was new. I saw some demonstration on telly; it had wireframe graphics. If you do not know what that is, just download the free game Akalabeth: World of Doom here on GOG.

I don't know how to feel about that, I thought my age would have been rather apparent from the references to TSR and the 90's.

The joys of Elite or the Starwars Arcade game, feel tainted now

I coded a wireframe cube on my zx81, I say wireframe. It looked like escalators having a disco.

Ah sorry, I was thinking of others, if they did not know. Some younger people might be reading this thread as well.

Apology accepted. Now I need to yell at some youngsters on my lawn. Bloody pokemon hunters.
