What, is it not turning the gaming world upside down anymore? It will be a game, play it when it comes out.
Maybe.
I was hoping it would, but as more information comes out, I don't think it will. It will still be damn fine game, and you won't see me canceling my preorder.
No.

Let's just wait till it is released.

Hopefully it will do very well (GOG benefits from a healthy CD Projekt Red) and is it on par with the Witcher 3 or even better.
Witcher had a bit of a cult following before the games came out but not much of one outside of Eastern Europe, and was seen as the lead in a new wave of adult aimed games when it was released. That originality is kinda gone now so Cyberpunk can't market its self as whole new wave of gaming, but Cyberpunk as a genre seems to be more of a moneymaker then fantasy overall. But as stated in the above posts wait for the release and check the numbers after two weeks.
It's far too early to tell. What really made the Witcher series imo was the depth of the characters, many of which were amazing and very memorable. I hope Cyberpunk retains that.
Shouldn't that question be kept for a few months until after Cyberpunk is released?

I mean, you cannot compare things that do not "exist" yet.

The Witcher series is already out there for years now and people have formed their opinions. On the other hand, Cyberpunk is not even released yet so people are totally clueless about its actual quality.

The hype is there, of course, but it is totally unrelated to the quality of Cyberpunk (which cannot be assumed just by watching trailers and screenshots). Only after people play the game will they be able to decide which game they like best.
I'm not sure the point of this thread when you already made a similar one.

Anyways, we hardly know anything about this game to know how good it would actually be.
I hope it does. At least, it will probably be more of my liking than the Witcher games. Just a matter of tastes.
All I know is, my gut says maybe!

No idea, but there IS a group of Cyberpunk junkies out in the West.

I played my first game of Cyberpunk over 25 years ago (might even be over 30 years ago). We had a bunch of D10s and the cyberpunk RPG.

Since then the crowd of gamers has grown. I think anyone who ever played the TTRPG may be excited about a CRPG release.

Add to that Shadowrun fans (yes, they have their games already, but this is somewhat closer than many other games that sport netrunning and cyber enhancements) and the available crowd is already large in regards to those looking forward to this game.

Science Fiction is also very popular with PC gamers (I'd say more popular currently) in the West in general, so I think it will do well.

AS good or better than the Witcher III...no idea...but possibly.

Don't know. Hopefully it will be as much fun as the Witcher games and have a better RPG-system than Witcher 3.
