And do they download the latest version, as in Steam? Or do you have to download updates manually?

They do now on galaxy.

Otherwise, on regular GOG does it tend to download the latest version on regular GOG, or is it just on Galaxy? Say for example, Pillars of Eternity or Dead State which i'm assuming have had some updates since launch.

Otherwise you may have to download it manually if you don't use galaxy. Unless you haven't downloaded the game yet, then downloading the installer will be the current version.

If you download manually from the site then you get the newest version at the time of download.

According to my Galaxy, there is no auto updating yet. It is greyed out and says coming soon.

Not sure how out of data my client is though. Running 1.0.3.985

There is auto updating, that is just the toggle for turning it on/off globally for every game. It's not added yet. But it does work and you can disable it on a per game basis.

Where is that option then? None of my games let me pick and choose.

Ahh, nvm, so you have to click on the game and go more, then manage. All of mine show it one by default.
