After the DLC today, June 10th, I am having problem with the Hunt the Witch main quest. When I enter the portal at Keira's house and visit her in her bath, my screen goes black after she leaves the tub, and Witcher 3 stops responding. Will need this quest to finish the game?

thanks

I'm afraid so. The quest with Keira ends up being very important to that act of the game, and when I played through it I did her part second - and I had to do it, according to the quest log.

If you want to see if I'm wrong, here's how: go to Crow's Perch and do the things there. See if you can progress until you go to the swamp after going to the other city (I know that's vague, I'm trying to be a spoiler-free as possible). If you are able to, then all you did is miss out on a big scene giving information about Ciri, several miscellaneous cinematics, and perhaps lost a chance to have an ally later in the game.

But I really think you're going to have to do that quest, I'm afraid.
Darn, then I am going to have to probably uninstall my game and reinstall it. Will be able to keep the free DLC or will uninstalling strip that as well?

thanks

I completely misread what you typed. You will still be able to use the DLCs, but you will probably have to re-install them as well.

late edit: make sure if you re-install the game that you back up the installer files just in case this happens yet again. Galaxy should have a backup or archive option; if you download them manually then you already have them. And you probably know this but you may want to copy your save folder as well, unless you'd like to start anew.
