darktjm: Was this an indirect response to my statement that the first one was broken? As far as I know, the version provided by Larian only worked on commercial nVidia and AMD drivers (not even sure about the latter).
Wasn't a response to your statement, just something I've experienced. You're not wrong at the end though, it did only work on proprietary drivers.

What I meant by perfectly was that the game ran flawless on Intel after applying the shim library created by a 3rd party user, it is commonly known as the "divos hack". Source: https://gist.github.com/romanoaugusto88/eb6a2598fb10d1468da6f4497b0fa2de#file-divos-hack-c
Not that I care about credit all that much, especially since the actual mesa patches were written by others, but if you're going to post a link to something I wrote, you could at least provide a link that doesn't imply somebody else wrote it.

Edit: FYI, this is the thread where the bugs were fixed.. I stopped reading it myself, and apparently somebody marked the shim as "obsolete", but it's still there.

Edit: Sorry, I should not have replied at all. Non-/mis-accreditation is my own fault, since I didn't even bother linking to the bug report in the header comment. I'm just a little cranky lately because life sucks so hard. I especially shouldn't post when I'm hungry.

Well, I didn't know that you wrote it, I actually posted a link to the first github link I found with the code. I can only try to guess that the "tjm" part in your username are your actual name initials, which led me to this: https://bitbucket.org/darktjm/divos-hack/src/844453d027e683c5d9830d42c6edf05f4735ddc3/divos-hack.c?at=master&fileviewer=file-view-default

No offense was intended in my previous post, I owe you a thanks actually because I've enjoyed the game a lot on my laptop :-)
No tux, no bux.
Apparently the Mac port is done by Studio Elverils and the Mac version uses Metal too: https://www.macrumors.com/2018/10/31/divinity-original-sin-2-definitive-edition-coming-to-mac-next-year/

According to the studio's website they also port to Linux, and the site lists Divinity:Original Sin in their portfolio (might be referring to the first game). Hopefull Larian will go for the push to Linux too.

Well, I just downloaded it and gives me a crit error.

"Your Mac does not support AVX2 instruction set and can not run the game. Please check official game requirements for more information."

I have a pro from 2013 and could play this on windows. I do meet sys requirements... Anyone able to run it?
This is great news! My oh my this took a while though, I thought the devs had kinda bragged about the easiness of porting DOS2 to the Mac thanks to the way they built their engine but it seems it wasn't that easy. I'm glad they kept their word though, hopefully we'll also get a Linux version soon enough.

Officially most of the supported models are the post 2016 macbook pros and the like. You can see official supported models here

Is that a Mac Pro, or a Macbook Pro? Mac Pro from 2013 is listed as supported, Macbook Pro is not, as they are completely different things.
