i want to get original sin 2 eternal, which is supposed to have everything or almost everything. there's no mention of the sir lora dlc within the package OR as a purchasable side dlc on that store page. also it is available to buy as part of another original sin 2 bundle. how do i go about purchasing it correctly so that i have everything? do i just need to buy this? if i buy this, does buying the dlc seperately become available?

Eternal on Steam doesn't appear to include Sir Lora

If it's just about the game itself wouldn't Definitive edition + both DLC's cover you? Cheaper than the Eternal edition still. Kind of depends if you care about the extra's.

If I'm reading it correctly:
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition - Is the base game.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Divine Ascension - Is the DLC for the map, art and OST
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Divine Edition - Is the base game + map, art and OST
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Eternal Edition - Is the base game + map, art and OST plus all the other Divinity games (except Dragon Commander) with all their goodies and extras.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Sir Lora - Seems to be a separate DLC which was included for free only for the preorders.

So to get everything "Divinity" you'd need:
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Eternal Edition
or
Divine Divinity
Beyond Divinity
Divinity 2: Developer's Cut
Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition Collector's Edition
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Divine Edition
plus
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Sir Lora
Divinity: Dragon Commander Imperial Edition - If you count it as part of the series...

I'm not 100% sure as some of the extras seem to overlap between games and editions.
Given that I'd only care about Definitive edition + Sir Lora DLC. Goodies never interested me, I only care about ingame stuff xD

so it's lacking quite a bit (eternal edition). i'll wait for a repackage or buy the basic original sins at a bigger discount later in the year.
